Forgiveness
Lie down or sit comfortably with or without back support.
Close your eyes.
Quiet yourself and begin to slow your breath.
On each exhale say to yourself: “I let go.”
Continue this for a few minutes.
Now bring your awareness to your navel and envision a light there.
Stay with this light for a few breaths.
On an exhale, bring your awareness and this light to your heart.
Stay with this light for a few breaths.
Now imagine a shield around your heart.
Visualize and feel this shield.
Visualize grabbing this shield, and see and feel yourself throwing it away.
See your heart red-ish pink and shining.
Now tell yourself: “My heart is soft and open.”
Stay with this feeling for a few minutes.
Now see someone who has hurt you sitting in front of you with an orange, fiery cord connected to each of you at the abdomen.
Stay with this for a few minutes.
You may feel lots of emotions but know this is okay.
Now take a scissors. You are about to sever this emotional attachment.
With your scissors, cut this cord.
Look into their eyes for a couple of moments and watch them drift away.
Now tell yourself: “I let it go, and I am now safe.”
Say: “I now take my power back.”
Say: “I choose to heal.”
Stay with this for a few moments.
Continue with your slow breaths, and with each exhale say to yourself again: “I let go.”
